During his ‘Vijayabheri Yatra’ in Telangana, Rahul Gandhi made an unexpected stop at the Nukapalli (NAC) bus stop in Jagtial. At a roadside tiffin cart, he decided to try his hand at preparing dosas, a popular South Indian dish. The Indian National Congress captured the moment in a video where Rahul Gandhi is seen pouring dosa batter onto a hot pan, expertly spreading it with a bowl, and flipping it over. Before beginning, he appeared to consult with the street vendor to understand the dosa-making process. The eatery’s owner and others present guided the Congress leader in the culinary endeavor.

Towards the end of the video, Rahul Gandhi served the freshly made dosas to the delighted crowd, who cheered him on. The Indian National Congress shared the video and photos with the caption “Rahul Anna” along with a heart emoji.

While on his ‘Vijayabheri Yatra,’ Rahul Gandhi used the opportunity to address political matters in Telangana. He criticized the ruling BRS government and the BJP-led Union government. He questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the non-disclosure of caste census results during one of his speeches.

Rahul Gandhi expressed optimism about the Congress party’s prospects, stating that “A Congress wave is coming in Telangana like a tsunami.” He focused on issues such as alleged corruption in irrigation projects and highlighted the need to defeat both the BRS and BJP. He also stressed the importance of conducting a caste census to determine the status of Dalits, tribals, and OBCs and how national assets should be distributed.

Rahul Gandhi pledged that a caste census would be conducted once the Congress comes to power in the state. He also assured that a caste census would be undertaken across the country after winning elections in the national capital in 2024.
