The offspring of Bollywood elites are joining forces as Karan Johar mounts his latest star-studded production. Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor have signed as the lead pair for a romantic comedy being bankrolled by Johar’s Dharma Productions banner.

As per entertainment site Pinkvilla, the untitled rom-com will be released directly on a leading OTT platform under Dharma’s digital arm Dharmatic Entertainment. With the ensemble cast already locked in, preparations are underway to kickstart filming in 2023. The streaming rights are also being shopped to major contenders like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar.
Helming directorial duties is Shauna Gautam, who assisted Johar on his upcoming Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Known for her work on Sanju, Gautam is said to be steering the project based on a script with all the trappings of Bollywood romantic escapades.
For budding actor Ibrahim, the launch marks his second major project after making his acting debut in the Kajol-led thriller film Sarzameen. Meanwhile, it spells a quick follow-up gig for Khushi post her maiden role in Netflix’s The Archies by Zoya Akhtar.
The high-profile, internet-breaking pairing of these two-star kids seems strategically designed to draw attention. Johar has certainly taken a leaf from his playbook after introducing dynastic faces like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Janhvi Kapoor to successful film careers.
Now as Ibrahim and Khushi get set to charm viewers in their first jodi, paparazzi and fans will eagerly track every update on Karan Johar’s latest glamorous launch.
