Are you ready to make your music experience more exciting with some rock band? If yes, then here’s good news for you as British rock sensation – Coldplay, is all set to make its appearance in India for a concert next year in 2025. It is not the first time that the group visited India. They performed at the Global Citizen Festival in 2016 in Mumbai. Now, this time they are back for their first-ever concert in Mumbai as part of their ‘Music of Spheres tour’, which has been on since 2022.
For those who are unaware, the tour has already country more than half of the globe, including Asia, Latin America, Europe, North America and Australia.
Coldplay to perform in India, here’s the details:
According to the announcement released by the entertainment platform, ‘BookMyShow Live’, the British boyband will perform in Maharashtra’s heart Mumbai at DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and January 19, 2025. Interestingly, a mystery guest is also likely to be announced very soon in the upcoming weeks.
The tickets will go on sale on September 22 at 12 pm IST onwards.
Talking to the social media, a statement by BookMyShow read, “Coldplay have also confirmed they will make a limited number of Infinity Tickets available for the shows at 12 pm (IST) on Friday, November 22, 2024.”
What are Infinity Tickets sold in Coldplay concerts?
The Infinity Tickets are released by every Coldplay show to make the tour more accessible to the rock-music lovers in an affordable price. They can cost around €20 (Rs 2000) per ticket and must be bought in pairs. However, they are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser (which will be located next to each other). Most intriguingly, the location will be revealed only when the fans pick up their tickets in person at the box office on the day of the show and can be throughout the venue from the floor to the upper levels, side view seats and everywhere in between.
In 2016, Coldplay performance in India was less than 10 minutes with Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of the group. They were singing along with India’s star musician AR Rehman, addressing the crowd in Hindi and whatnot.
