Manoj Bajpayee And Konkona Sensharma Gets Entangled In Bizarre Events In ‘Killer Soup’ Trailer

Mumbai – The trailer for the upcoming Netflix crime comedy series ‘Killer Soup’ was released on Wednesday, promising a wacky ride filled with mishaps and cover-ups.

Headlined by Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sensharma, the show revolves around a small-town dreamer Swathi Shetty (Konkona) who aspires for everyone to taste her legendary paya soup. But things take an unexpected turn when she and her partner end up in hot water after a fatal accident.

What follows is a series of desperate measures to hide the truth, triggering more disasters for the amateur criminals. The trailer shows Manoj Bajpayee appearing in a double role, with one character shown crooning “Tu Hi Re” while being severely injured.

Konkona’s Swathi then hatches a plot to kill her husband and replace him with her lookalike lover to pursue her soup ambitions. But secrets begin to unravel as the trailer hints at more chaos in store for the duo.

“For the first time I’m playing a double role, both starkly different from each other,” said Bajpayee about the series marked by surreal storytelling and black comedy. Director Abhishek Chaubey has crafted a potboiler that blends multiple genres and adds the actor.

Konkona’s character Swathi left her intrigued to step into the shoes of an unusually dark yet Punchy woman. With suspense interspersed, the show makes one wonder whether Swathi will get caught as events spiral out of control, she mentioned.

Also featuring an ensemble cast including Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, and Anbuthasan, ‘Killer Soup’ has been directed by Abhishek Chaubey of ‘Sonchiriya fame and produced by Honey Trehan and Chetana Kowshik. The series will release on Netflix on January 11, 2024.
