Gadkari addressed the Indian diaspora in the Czech Republic’s capital and revealed, “Normally, if you come to Delhi and then go to the airport, it will take 2 hours or even more due to traffic congestion. However, after this road opens, you can reach the airport in just 20 minutes.” This announcement was met with enthusiasm, as it promises to dramatically reduce travel time and ease traffic woes for those heading to the airport.

Nitin Gadkari’s Infrastructure Achievements

During his interaction, Minister Gadkari also highlighted several other significant infrastructure projects that have been completed under his leadership. He pointed out the remarkable success of the Atal Tunnel, which has substantially reduced travel time to Rohtang Pass from Manali. Previously, this journey took 3.5 hours, but with the tunnel in place, travelers can now reach their destination in just eight minutes.

Game-Changer for Delhi

In a recent interview with CNBC-TV18, Nitin Gadkari explained the transformative impact of the Urban Extension Road II (UER-II) project. This initiative will connect North Delhi with the Delhi-Jaipur highway. It is supposed to significantly reduce traffic congestion, travel time, and pollution in the national capital.

Nitin Gadkari emphasized that significant traffic congestion and pollution in Delhi is due to the movement of vehicles from North India to South India. The UER-II project aims to alleviate these issues by providing an alternative route.

Conclusion

Nitin Gadkari’s announcement of Urban Extension Road II (UER-II) offers hope to commuters in Delhi. It promises to drastically reduce travel time to Delhi airport. This infrastructure project, along with others like the Atal Tunnel and Zojila Tunnel is bound to enhance transport.
