Indian travellers are increasingly exploring international destinations, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has emerged as a popular choice. Recent data reveals that the number of Indians taking multiple international trips has surged by 32% over the past year.
To further attract Indian tourists, the UAE has relaxed its visa requirements. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) announced on Thursday that a wider range of Indian nationals can now obtain visas upon arrival.
UAE’s New Visa Policy Highlights:
- Expanded Eligibility: Indian citizens with tourist visas for the UK and EU countries can now acquire visas on arrival, previously available only to those with US, UK, or EU residence visas.
- Simplified Process: The 60-day visa can be obtained for 250 Dirham (approximately Rs 5,700).
- Easier Stopovers: The new policy facilitates UAE stopovers for Indians travelling to the UK or the US.
