PM Modi’s ₹13,500 Crore Development Boost for Telangana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil a series of development projects in Telangana. These projects are worth more than ₹13,500 crore. It is aimed at a significant boost to the state’s infrastructure and connectivity. This move aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of modernizing the road infrastructure of the country.
Enhancing Connectivity: Nagpur–Vijayawada Economic Corridor
One of the focal points of this development initiative is the Nagpur–Vijayawada Economic Corridor. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for crucial road projects within this corridor. Among these projects is a 108 km long four-lane access-controlled Greenfield highway from Warangal to Khammam section of NH-163G.

Also, a 90 km long four-lane access-controlled Greenfield highway from Khammam to Vijayawada section of NH-163G. The combined investment is approximately ₹6,400 crores. It aims to reduce travel distances between key cities, saving both time and resources.

The road projects within the Nagpur–Vijayawada Economic Corridor will have a significant impact on travel distances. The Warangal to Khammam section will trim the travel distance by about 14 km, while the Khammam to Vijayawada section will reduce distances by approximately 27 km. This reduction in travel time is expected to ease congestion on existing routes and enhance overall connectivity in the region.
Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Corridor: Bharatmala Pariyojana
As part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, PM Modi will inaugurate road projects linked to the Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Corridor. This corridor is a critical component of India’s ambitious infrastructure development plan. The projects, once operational, will further bolster connectivity in the region, promoting economic growth and ease of transportation.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation for projects related to oil and gas pipelines. These projects are essential to ensure a reliable and efficient supply of oil and gas resources.
Inaugural Train Service: Hyderabad (Kacheguda)-Raichur-Hyderabad (Kacheguda)
As part of this comprehensive development program, PM Modi will flag off the inaugural Hyderabad (Kacheguda)-Raichur-Hyderabad (Kacheguda) train service. Improved rail connectivity plays a crucial role in enhancing transportation options for both passengers and freight, contributing to economic growth and regional development.
