Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, where he will partake in religious ceremonies, interact with locals, and inaugurate several significant development projects. This visit is an opportunity for the Prime Minister to connect with the people, seek blessings at spiritually significant sites, and boost the state’s rapid development.

Religious Ceremonies and Blessings

PM Modi’s visit includes religious ceremonies at Parvati Kund, where he will seek blessings from the holy Adi-Kailash, a place renowned for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. The itinerary also features darshan and worship at Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Dham, both spiritually important locations.

Cultural troupes from Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region will warmly welcome the Prime Minister along a 6-km road adorned with murals and paintings. This road journey, starting from Naini Saini airport and leading to a public meeting venue, promises to be a vibrant experience.

Interaction with Locals and Security Forces

Around 9:30 AM, PM Modi is set to arrive at Gunji village in Pithoragarh, where he will engage with the local community. An exhibition showcasing the region’s art and products will provide insights into the area’s culture. The Prime Minister will also meet the dedicated personnel of the Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

Visit to Jageshwar Dham

By noon, PM Modi will reach Jageshwar Dham in Almora district. Situated at an altitude of approximately 6200 feet, this location is renowned for its stone temples. The visit here promises spiritual and cultural enrichment.

Project Inaugurations and Dedication

The focal point of the visit is anticipated to be around 2:30 PM when the Prime Minister arrives in Pithoragarh. In Pithoragarh, he will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects with an estimated worth of ₹4200 crore. These projects span various sectors, including rural development, road infrastructure, power generation, irrigation, drinking water supply, horticulture, education, healthcare, and disaster management, among others.

Key Development Projects

Among the projects slated for inauguration, 76 rural roads and 25 bridges will be unveiled under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Additionally, the government will introduce 15 new buildings for Block Development Offices (BDO) across nine districts, enhancing the administrative infrastructure in the region.
