Shah Rukh Khan Receives Y+ Security Cover Amid Death Threats

Shah Rukh Khan | Y+ Security

Shah Rukh Khan, the renowned Bollywood actor, has been granted Y+ security cover by the Mumbai Police. It is due to recent death threats he received following the success of his movies ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan.’ This move comes after the actor expressed concerns about his safety and security.

Under the Y+ security cover, Shah Rukh Khan will now have six armed security personnel accompanying him around the clock. This is a significant increase from his previous security detail, which consisted of only two security personnel

Actor’s Appeal to the Maharashtra Government

The actor reached out to the Maharashtra government, informing them about the death threats he had been receiving, particularly after delivering consecutive blockbuster films. In response to his plea, the Maharashtra government decided to escalate the level of security provided to the beloved actor.

This move follows a similar situation involving actor Salman Khan. He was also provided with Y+ security cover last year. Salman Khan had received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. Then, he prompted the authorities to enhance his security arrangements.

During the 90s, when the film industry faced significant bullying from the underworld, Shah Rukh Khan stood firm and refused to yield to their demands. He famously declared, “‘Goli marni hai mar do, par tumhaare liye kaam nahin karoonga. Main Pathan hoon” (shoot me if you want to, but I won’t work for you, I am a Pathan).” His determination and resilience continue to be admired by many, even today.
